The scope

What every office visit covers. Room by room.

This is the routine visit. Your scope names each room, each task and how often, and lists anything your building or your own people look after.

Every visit

  • Desks wiped, papers and screens left alone
  • Kitchen benches, sink, taps and appliance fronts
  • Washrooms cleaned and restocked
  • Carpet vacuumed, hard floors mopped
  • Bins emptied, recycling kept separate
  • Handles, switches and glass doors wiped

Common schedule

  • Internal glass and partitionsMonthly
  • High dusting, vents and ledgesQuarterly
  • Hard floor machine scrubQuarterly
  • Carpet extractionEvery 6 to 12 months

How we do it

Planned around how the office is used. Not a fixed checklist.

Open-plan office with carpet tiles and desks after a clean

Where people work

Desks get cleaned, not rearranged.

On the walk-through we agree what can be wiped, moved or left alone. Clear desk surfaces are dusted and wiped. Papers, screens and personal items stay exactly where they are, and any room you mark as off limits stays closed unless you open it.

Where it builds up fastest

Kitchens and washrooms first.

These rooms can't wait for the next visit. Benches, sinks, taps and appliance fronts are cleaned with food-safe products. Washrooms get their own colour-coded cloths, disinfectant left on for its full contact time, and soap, paper and towel topped up.

Where dust settles slowly

Some tasks run on a cycle.

Skirting, ledges, partitions and quiet rooms don't need cleaning every visit, so each gets a due date in the scope. Carpet extraction and hard floor scrubs are booked the same way, by condition and use, and they appear in the visit record once done.

      Questions

      Office cleaning: questions.

How often should our office be cleaned?

It depends on headcount and how the rooms are used. A busy office with a well-used kitchen usually needs daily visits. A small team may only need one or two a week, or a fortnightly clean. We look at the kitchen, washrooms and foot traffic on the walk-through, suggest a frequency, then adjust it as the office changes.

Can you clean after hours, once we've gone home?

Yes. Most office cleaning happens after close or before people arrive, so vacuuming doesn't interrupt calls and floors are dry by morning. Keys, alarm codes, lock-up steps and any rooms that stay closed are agreed on the walk-through and written into the scope.

Do you supply the toilet paper, soap and hand towel?

We can. Washroom consumables can be supplied and stocked on each visit, or topped up from your own supply. The scope says which, so the dispensers don't run empty because each side thought the other was buying. Cleaning products and equipment always come with the visit.

Will you touch our computers or confidential papers?

Only as agreed. Clear desk surfaces are dusted and wiped. Papers, screens and personal items stay where they are unless the scope says otherwise. Restricted rooms, such as a records room or a server room, are only entered when you approve it.

What happens if something gets missed?

Tell us. We check the visit record against the scope, fix the task on the next visit or sooner, and update the site instructions if the miss came from something the scope didn't cover. Every visit is logged with arrival and departure times, so there's a clear point of reference.

How do you price an office clean?

After a 15-minute walk-through. We look at the rooms, floors, kitchen, washrooms and access, then send a written scope. It lists each task, how often it happens, when the visit runs and what we supply, with the price for the regular service and any periodic work shown separately.

We walk the office with you, note the rooms, floors and access, then send a written scope with the price.
