Cleaning in Kent Town

Small streets, very different offices.

Terraces and cottages

Plenty of Kent Town practices work from converted terraces and cottages: front rooms as offices, a lean-to kitchen out the back, often stairs and a single washroom. Narrow halls and old timber boards decide which equipment comes in and how each floor is treated.

Mid-rise floors

Kent Town's newer office buildings bring lifts, shared foyers and access fobs. Who holds the fob, which doors stay locked, where the recycling goes and which kitchen belongs to whom are agreed on the walk-through, well before the first visit.

Parking and arrival

Kerbside parking is tight on Kent Town's narrow streets, and traffic builds around Prince Alfred College at school drop-off and pick-up. Visits are timed so gear can be unloaded close to your door without blocking a neighbour's driveway.

      Questions

Office cleaning in Kent Town: questions.

Can you clean while people are still working?

Yes. Quiet tasks such as wiping desks, the kitchen and the washrooms can happen around anyone who stays late, and the vacuuming waits until rooms are empty. If most people leave by a set time, the visit starts after that and the scope notes it.

Who supplies the soap, paper towel and toilet paper?

That's agreed before the first visit and written into the scope. We can supply and restock washroom consumables, or restock from your own cupboard. Either way, the scope says who buys what, so dispensers aren't left empty between visits.

What does the written scope actually show?

Six things: the tasks and areas included, how often each is done, when visits happen, what we supply and what you supply, the price of the regular service, and any deep cleans or periodic work, which are priced separately. You see all of it before anything starts.

We only need a clean every fortnight. Is that worth quoting?

Yes. A small office with a handful of people may only need a visit each week or fortnight, focused on the kitchen, washrooms and floors. The walk-through shows whether that's enough, and the frequency can change if the office gets busier.

Can you look after the old timber floors in our terrace?

Yes. Old boards are usually finished with oil, varnish or polyurethane, and each needs a different approach. They're dust-mopped, then damp-mopped with a neutral cleaner and never flooded. If the finish has worn through, we'll tell you and suggest a separate floor job.

Show us around the office. Then read the scope.

We'll walk your Kent Town office from the front door to the kitchen, check the floors, the keys and where to park, then put the tasks, the visit times and the price in writing.
