The scope

What every industrial visit covers. Office to dock.

This is the routine visit. Your scope maps each zone, the method and how often, and marks the areas and machinery that stay out of bounds.

Every visit

  • Site office and lunchroom cleaned
  • Amenities and change rooms cleaned and restocked
  • Warehouse aisles swept, spills cleaned up
  • Loading dock cleared of debris
  • Waste and bin areas tidied
  • Touch points: doors, switches, rails

Common schedule

  • Ride-on scrub of the warehouse floorMonthly
  • High-level dusting of beams and rackingQuarterly
  • Pressure clean of external areasEvery 6 months
  • Production area deep cleanAt each shutdown

How we do it

Planned around the work. Not in the way of it.

On the floor

Sweep first, then scrub.

Loose grit and packaging come up first with a mechanical sweeper, or a scrubber just pushes them around. A ride-on scrubber then lifts tyre marks and ground-in dirt from aisles and docks. Oil spots get a targeted degreaser, and line marking gets a pad that won't wear it.

Hard-wearing areas

Scrubbed and rinsed, not just mopped.

Tiled walkways, wash bays and amenity corridors take boots, grease and grit all shift. Where the drains allow it, they're scrubbed with a spinner wand and rinsed with a hose, so the dirty water goes down the drain instead of back across the floor.

Where people change

Amenities on every visit.

Lunchrooms, toilets and change rooms take a whole shift's dirt in a few busy minutes. They're cleaned on every visit, timed around shift changes, with separate colour-coded cloths for toilets and kitchens, and soap, paper and towel restocked before the next shift arrives.

      Questions

      Industrial cleaning: questions.

Can you deep clean a warehouse floor before we move in?

Yes. A pre-occupation clean is scoped as a one-off: sweep, then machine scrub, with oil and tyre marks treated separately. Doing it before racking and stock go in means the whole slab can be reached at once. It's the easiest time that floor will ever be cleaned.

How do you work around forklifts and shift changes?

The site plan splits the floor into zones. Each zone is cleaned when it's quiet: between shifts, on a weekend, or when the forklifts are parked. We follow your traffic rules, wear the PPE you require and cone off the area being scrubbed. Docks are timed around deliveries and dispatch.

      Will you clean our machinery?

The exteriors, guards, bases and the floor around them, yes, but only as agreed and only when the machine is stopped and isolated under your procedure. Nothing is opened, adjusted or moved. Anything inside a machine stays with your maintenance people.

Can you remove dust from the ceiling and high beams?

Yes: beams, purlins, pipes, racking tops and light fittings. The height, the ceiling type and what sits below are checked on the walk-through, then the right access equipment is booked. It's usually done at a shutdown or over a weekend, with the floor below cleared first.

How often should a warehouse be cleaned?

Amenities and the lunchroom usually need cleaning daily or once per shift. The floor depends on traffic and dust: busy aisles may need a weekly scrub, quieter storage a monthly one. High-level dusting is quarterly at most sites. The walk-through sets the starting point, and the scope changes as volumes do.

Is regulated waste part of the clean?

No. General waste, packaging and recycling go to your bins and collection points as agreed. Chemical, oil and other regulated waste stays with your licensed contractor. If something turns up in general waste that shouldn't be there, it's left in place and reported to your site contact.
