The scope

What a school clean includes. Every school day.

This is the standard clean. Your scope lists each building, room and frequency, so you can check every visit against it.

  • Toilet blocks cleaned and restocked
  • Door handles, rails and taps
  • Staff room and kitchen

  • Halls, corridors and entry glass

How we do it

Every school day has a job. So does every holiday.

During term

The clean starts when the students leave.

Most of the work happens after the last bus and finishes before the first car arrives. Desks, floors, bins and touch points every day, and the toilet blocks done properly each visit, not just topped up. Blue cloths for classrooms, red for toilets, green for the staff kitchen.

Toilet blocks

Scrubbed, not just mopped.

A mop moves dirt across a tiled floor and leaves it in the grout. Each term break the toilet blocks get a machine scrub, grout and floor drains included, so the smell doesn't come back two weeks into term. The daily clean keeps them there.

Term breaks

The heavy work waits for the holidays.

Strip and seal, carpet extraction and high dusting need empty rooms and time to dry. They're booked into term breaks and the summer holidays, building by building, so every room is ready for the first day back. Each one shows in the visit record when it's done.

      Questions

      Schools: questions.

What screening is needed to work on our site?

Your school sets the requirements. Site induction and screening are written into the scope and met before the first visit, and anyone new to the site does the same before they start. Most of the clean happens after students leave, which keeps contact with children to a minimum.

Can you deep clean our toilet blocks in the holidays?

Yes, and the holidays are the right time for it. Each block gets a machine scrub of the tiles and grout, the drains cleared of build-up, and partitions, basins and fixtures cleaned top to bottom. It can be a once-off or a term-break task inside your contract.

Do you clean during school hours?

Usually not. The main clean runs after students leave. Some schools add a day visit to check the toilets and restock after lunch, and that is scoped separately with its own times. Anything that needs a wet floor or a machine stays outside school hours.

How do you clean the gym and the hall floor?

By the floor type. Timber gets a damp microfibre and a neutral cleaner, never a wet mop. Sports vinyl such as Taraflex and the court lines get only the method the manufacturer approves, because a generic scrub-and-seal can damage them. We confirm the product first.

How do you quote a school?

A 15-minute walk-through of the buildings, the floor types and the toilet blocks. Then you get a written scope listing every area, task and frequency, with the price. The term-break work is set out separately, so it can be budgeted term by term.

Plan the year's clean. Term by term.

A 15-minute walk-through to see the buildings and the floors, then a written scope with the price, term breaks included.
