Commercial pressure cleaning

Pavers and concrete, back to their colour.

A surface cleaner on pavers, concrete and paths, with the pressure and the nozzle set for what's underneath. Coated and polished surfaces get a gentler method, and some get none at all.

The scope

What a pressure clean includes. Every time.

This is the standard clean. Your scope lists each area, the surface and how often, so you can check every visit against it.

Every pressure clean

  • Area swept and loose debris cleared
  • Pressure and nozzle tested on a small patch
  • Surface cleaner run across pavers and slabs
  • Edges, steps and corners done by wand
  • Splash rinsed off walls, glass and doors
  • Area coned off until it's safe to walk on

Common schedule

  • Entries and front pathsMonthly or quarterly
  • Bin areas and loading baysMonthly
  • Courtyards and outdoor diningQuarterly
  • Full site, pavers and concreteYearly

How we do it

Pressure is a setting. Not the goal.

Brick paver path after pressure cleaning

Pavers and paths

A surface cleaner, not a wand.

A rotary surface cleaner runs flat over the pavers, so the clean is even and the joints aren't blasted out. Edges and steps get a wand at a lower setting. Where sand washes out of the joints, we note it for re-sanding.

Courtyards and common areas

Worked around what's there.

Bins, pots and outdoor furniture are moved and put back. Splash is rinsed off walls, glass and doors as we go, and the area stays coned off until it's dry enough to walk on, so residents and customers aren't stepping through slurry.

Coated and polished surfaces

Some surfaces get less.

Concrete with an anti-graffiti coating gets no solvents, because they break the coating down. Polished slip-rated concrete is cleaned and never sealed, because a sealer can take away its grip. These surfaces get water, a neutral cleaner and a lower setting.

Questions

Pressure cleaning: questions.

Will pressure cleaning damage our pavers?

Not when the pressure and the nozzle suit the surface. We test a small patch first, then run a surface cleaner flat across the pavers. Old or soft pavers and loose joints get a lower setting. Some joint sand can still wash out, and we note where re-sanding is needed.

Can you clean concrete with an anti-graffiti coating?

Yes, without solvents. Solvent cleaners and strong degreasers break the coating down, and then the next tag soaks straight into the concrete. Coated surfaces get water, a neutral cleaner and a lower pressure. If you have the coating maker's care guide, send it with your enquiry.

Do you seal concrete after cleaning?

Not polished slip-rated concrete. A sealer can fill the surface texture and lower the slip rating, which is the opposite of what a busy walkway needs, so it is cleaned and left as it is. Any other sealing is done only where it is written into your scope.

Can you work around our trading hours?

Yes. Most commercial pressure cleaning is booked before opening, after close or on a weekend, so paths and entries are dry by the time people arrive. The work area is coned off while we're there, and wet surfaces stay signed until they dry.

Do you pressure clean at homes?

Yes, through our home bookings site, where driveways, paths and patios are priced up front and you pick the day: book.jccommercial.com.au. Commercial sites and strata common areas are quoted after a 15-minute walk-through instead.
