The scope

What a car park clean includes. Every visit.

This is the standard clean. Your scope lists the levels, the stairwells and how often, so you can check every visit against it.

Every car park clean

  • Litter picked up and bins emptied
  • Decks and ramps swept, ride-on or walk-behind
  • Fresh oil drips and spills treated
  • Stairwells swept and mopped, handrails wiped
  • Lift lobbies, doors and call buttons cleaned
  • Drains and grates cleared of debris

Common schedule

  • Pressure clean, entries and rampsQuarterly
  • Tyre-mark and oil-stain treatmentQuarterly
  • Full deck pressure cleanEvery 6 to 12 months
  • High-level dusting, pipes and signsYearly

How we do it

Planned around the traffic. So the car park stays open.

On the deck

Swept first, then washed.

A ride-on or walk-behind sweeper picks up the grit and litter first. Then the deck is pressure cleaned in sections, with oil drips and tyre marks treated beforehand so they lift. Line marking and arrows come up clean enough to read.

Where people walk

Stairwells and lift lobbies.

These are the parts of a car park people remember. Stairs are swept and mopped from the top down, handrails and lift buttons are wiped, and lobby floors are scrubbed where traffic has ground the dirt into the surface.

Up high

Signs you can read.

Exhaust and dust settle on pipes, beams, lights and signs. High-level dusting is done from a lift or an extended pole, with the bays below coned off, so wayfinding, clearance bars and exit signs stay readable from a moving car.

Every visit, on the record.

Questions

Car park cleaning: questions.

Do you have to close the car park?

No. Bays are coned off one section at a time, and traffic keeps moving through the rest. Most work is done at night or early in the morning, when the car park is quietest. Larger car parks are staged across several visits, and the scope shows which levels are done when.

Will the oil stains come out completely?

Fresh drips usually lift with a degreaser and a pressure clean. Old stains that have soaked into bare concrete often fade rather than disappear, because the oil sits below the surface. We treat a test bay first and show you the result before the whole deck is done.

What equipment do you use?

A ride-on or walk-behind sweeper for the decks, a pressure cleaner with a surface cleaner head for the concrete, and degreasers for oil and tyre marks. Lobby floors get a scrubber. High-level dusting uses an extended pole or a lift, depending on the height.

Do you repaint line marking?

No. Line marking is cleaned so it can be read, not repainted. Where lines are worn through, we photograph them and note the bays in the visit record, so your building manager has what they need to book a line-marking contractor.

How often should a car park be cleaned?

For most commercial and strata car parks, a weekly or fortnightly sweep with litter and stairwells, a quarterly pressure clean of the entries and ramps, and a full deck wash once or twice a year works well. Your scope sets the pattern after the walk-through.

Book the car park walk-through. We'll plan the sections.
