Aged care cleaning

A home first.A facility second.

Resident rooms, ensuites, dining rooms and corridors, cleaned quietly around meals and care routines. Disinfectant gets its full contact time, and when you call an outbreak, the clean changes with it.

How we do it

Quiet work in someone's home. With the infection control left in.

Around the day

The clean follows the residents' routine.

Rooms are cleaned while residents are at meals or activities, never during personal care. Personal items go back exactly where they were. Corridors are mopped one side at a time with signs out, so there is always a dry path for a walker or a wheelchair.

Ensuites and touch points

Contact time, every time.

Soil comes off first, because disinfectant can't work through grime. Then it goes on and stays wet for the time on its label. Red cloths stay in ensuites and washrooms, blue in rooms and lounges, green in dining and servery areas. Nothing crosses between them.

Floors that carry walkers

Safety vinyl gets scrubbed.

Wheelchairs, walkers and trolleys grind dirt into the floor. Slip-resistant vinyl holds it in the texture, and a mop only moves it around. So it gets a machine scrub on a schedule, one wing at a time, with the area closed off until it is dry.

      Questions

      Aged care: questions.

      What happens during an outbreak?

You declare it and the clean changes. High-touch points get extra rounds, the affected wing gets its own cloths and mops and is cleaned last, and the product and contact time follow your infection control lead. Each extra round is logged with the time it was done.

How do you work around residents?

Rooms are cleaned while residents are out at meals or activities, never during personal care. If a resident would rather stay, the clean works around them at their pace. Personal items stay where they are. Corridors are mopped in halves so there is always a dry path.

Do you clean the laundry and the kitchen?

The laundry, yes: floors, benches and the outside of the machines, with equipment kept only for that room. Kitchens can sit in the same scope or be booked as a periodic kitchen deep clean. The cook's daily wipe-down stays with your kitchen team.

Do you handle clinical waste or soiled linen?

No. Clinical waste stays with your licensed collector, and continence care and soiled linen stay with care staff. We empty general and recycling bins, replace liners, clean the bins and bin areas, and note anything full or overflowing in the visit record.

Does the record help when an assessor visits?

It helps. Every visit logs the rooms done, the time on site and photos, and scheduled tasks show the date they were completed. When you're asked how cleaning is planned and checked, you have the written scope and the visit history to show.

How do you price an aged care site?

A 15-minute walk-through first: the wings, the room count, the floor types and the hours that suit your routine. Then you get a written scope listing every room type, task and frequency, with the price. The scope is what each visit is checked against.

Walk us through a wing. Then read the scope.

Fifteen minutes on site to see the rooms, the floors and the daily routine, then a written scope with the price.
