Childcare cleaning

Cleaned at their height. Not just ours.

Childcare centres and kindergartens, cleaned after the last pick-up. Low handles, shelves and tables get the same attention as the counters, using only the products your centre has approved.

The scope

What a childcare clean includes. Every visit.

This is the standard clean. Your scope lists each room, what's in and what's out, and the products you've approved, so you can check every visit against it.

Every visit

  • Touch points at child height: handles, shelves, rails
  • Tables and chairs in play and meal areas
  • Children's and staff washrooms, restocked
  • Nappy change benches and surrounds
  • Floors vacuumed and damp-mopped
  • Kitchen benches, staff room and bins

Common schedule

  • Sleep room surfaces and cot framesBy agreement

How we do it

The room, seen from below. Then cleaned to match.

Child height

The low surfaces come first.

Children touch the bottom metre of a room most: low door handles, shelf edges, tables, chairs and the taps they can reach. Those are cleaned every visit, with blue cloths for play rooms, red for washrooms and green for the kitchen and meal areas.

Washrooms and change areas

Red stays in the washroom.

Children's toilets, basins and nappy change benches are cleaned with their own red cloths and mop heads. Soil comes off first, then disinfectant stays wet for the contact time on its label. Nothing from the washroom touches a play room or a meal table.

By agreement

Toys and sleep rooms follow your plan.

Some centres keep toys and sleep rooms with educators. Others put them in the scope. We agree which items, how often and with what product, then write it down. Every product is one your centre has approved, and each is listed in the scope.

      Questions

      Childcare: questions.

What screening is needed to clean our centre?

Your centre's requirements go into the scope. Site induction and screening are agreed before work starts and met before the first visit, including for anyone who covers a shift. The clean happens after the last pick-up, so there are no children in the centre while the work is done.

      Do you clean the toys?

If you want them in the scope. Some centres keep toy cleaning with educators, who know what has been mouthed that day. Others hand it over: daily for high-use items, weekly or monthly for the rest. We agree the list and the product first.

      What products do you use?

The ones your centre approves. Each product is listed in the scope, its safety data sheet is available on request, and nothing else comes on site without your agreement. Disinfectant is used where hygiene needs it, such as washrooms and change benches, and left for its full contact time.

Can you clean the outside windows too?

Yes. External glass on a single or two-storey centre is cleaned from the ground with a water-fed pole, usually monthly or quarterly, on a day the yard is empty. It can sit in your contract as a scheduled task. More on window cleaning.

How do you quote a centre?

A 15-minute walk-through at a quiet time. We look at the rooms, the floors, the washrooms and what you want in or out, such as toys and sleep rooms. Then you get a written scope listing each task and frequency, with the price.

Show us the rooms. We'll write the scope.

A 15-minute walk-through at a quiet time, then a written scope with the price and every product listed.
